What You Get
San Francisco Experience City Tour Overview
This is a one-of-a-kind guided premier city tour that lets you travel the streets of San Francisco aboard an authentic Hornblower classic cable car. Your tour will feature views of San Francisco’s most popular landmarks, historic districts, and neighborhoods. Throughout the tour, there will be three stops where you will have the opportunity to disembark from your trolley for brief guided walking tours and memorable photo opportunities. Your tour guide will provide live narration and be available to answer any questions throughout the entire duration of your tour.
To begin your cable car tour in San Francisco, you’ll board in the heart of Fisherman’s Wharf. En route to your first stop, you’ll make your way down Columbus Street through North Beach and Little Italy. After making your way through Little Italy you’ll head to Chinatown, Nob Hill, Union Square and then arrive at your first stop on the tour, Civic Center/City Hall. Here at your first stop, you can hop off your trolley to explore City Hall and it’s Beaux-Arts monument to the City, which showcases the beautiful movement that epitomized the high-minded American Renaissance of the 1880s to 1917.
After exploring City Hall you’ll board your cable car and be on your way to the lower Haight District en route to your second stop, Alamo Square Park. At Alamo Square Park you’ll be able to view the bountiful lawns, flowerbeds, trees, and the world-famous “Painted Ladies” as seen in the opening credits on the show Full House.
Once you’re done touring Alamo Square Park you’ll return back to your trolley and begin to head towards Golden Gate Park, The Richmond District, and Sea Cliff. As we head further down the coastline we’ll begin to approach our last stop, the world-famous Golden Gate Bridge at Vista Point. Once we arrive at The Golden Gate Bridge, take some time off the trolley to admire the San Francisco Bay engineering marvel.
As we approach your final destination and drop off point your cable car tour will head through Pacific Heights, one of San Francisco’s most affluent neighborhoods. Here you’ll find some of the city’s most beautiful architecture including the iconic home featured in the blockbuster film Mrs. Doubtfire. To wrap up the tour we’ll make our way past the famous Ghirardelli Square, home of the namesake chocolates and back to our original starting point at Fisherman’s Wharf.
